Description
To support the Manager with responsibility for Data Services IP Network Operations. This includes Creating Departmental strategy and Operational Framework.
Job Responsibility
- Lead the engagement with the business to develop and document solutions for ISP requirements
- Work with the ISP outsourced supplier to develop an implementation program to support the enterprise architecture strategy
- Ensure that the required Cyber Security position is implemented and maintained across all Core and Enterprise systems
- Analysis of industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.
- Create governing principles to guide enterprise architecture and develop processes to ensure these principles and related standards are applied.
- Ensure that TRPs are tested and MTX policy reviewed to keep up with the latest business demands
- Execute policy compliance checks on all systems, provide reports and recommendations to Core Networks SNR. Manager
- Support Enterprise and/or Commercial Business Unit in the development of the new concepts to fully developed products
- Responsible for Applications and Network Monitoring Systems across all ranges to optimize Vodacom’s ISP Core Network performance towards world class standards.
- Ensure all systems are complaint to the MTX resilience policy at all times
Requirements
- Bachelors’ Degree Computer Engineering (B. Eng.)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional
- Knowledge of Open source (UNIX,Openstack,Opendaylight)
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems
- Knowledge of OSI Model
