Role Purpose
Deliver VAS and Digital revenues for Vodacom through product capability development, management and continuous improvement. The Product Specialist: Capability Development is fully responsible for ensuring capability and platform delivery, customer adoption, revenue uplift (from a product and data consumption perspective) and a highly rated customer experience. It must own the feature and function roadmap for key VAS and Digital initiatives and ensure its execution in close collaboration with the technical, segment & marketing teams across opcos.
Key Deliverables
Develop and agree overall function & feature roadmap and approach for VAS and Digital products and platforms
Increased customer revenue through VAS and Digital and data revenue streams
Provide customers with a VAS and Digital ecosystem that enables a best in class, seamless anywhere experience
Manage VAS and Digital driven data growth on the Vodacom opcos networks through an optimised VAS and Digital product offering while driving a high-quality data experience for Vodacom customers.
Manage technology and regulatory impacts in collaboration with the relevant business stakeholders.
Job Specific Competencies
Create overall functional roadmap and obtain organisational buy-in
Drive delivery of projects to achieve business objectives.
Run initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, adoption, usage, transactions and revenue
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum a Degree in business, computer science or information systems areas
Post graduate qualification beneficial
1-3 years’ relevant experience in the telecommunications industry (preferred)
1-3 years’ experience in the VAS and Digital services or entertainment industry (beneficial)
Experience with VAS and Digital product management (beneficial)
Product Development skills (essential)
