Specialist (Data Protection)
Objective of the job:
Mercedes-Benz SA is looking for a Specialist (Data Protection) to Support and coordinate the entity-specific implementation of Data Protection & Data Compliance requirements. In compliance to the Company’s Integrity Code and S.H.E.Q requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E.Q tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.
Main Tasks:
Local Implementation: Prepare local instructions Initial set-up and regular update of record of processing of data activities.
- Implement Compliance Management System on Data Compliance

Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments

Co-ordination with local management. Alignment with the Local Compliance Officer.
Awareness & Training: Identify training needs and liaise with Management regarding delivery.

Drive training measures for all relevant employees.

Induction for new employees.

Establish employee awareness of data protection topics.
Consultation: Consult and support the departments on information obligations, deletion concepts, privacy by design/default and other Data Protection topics. Consult and support local Legal Counsel when required.
Monitoring & Reporting: Monitoring of new data (protection) laws and regulations and identification of local implementation needs.
Self-development: Take personal responsibility for learning and self-development through a process of assessment, reflection and action. This can include both on and /or off the job training.

Experience:
3-5 year experience in legal commercial environment field.
