Description

Role Purpose 
To manage and collect outstanding debts from postpaid service customers. To also implement appropriate collection strategies to ensure timely payments.
Key Accountabilities
⦁     Ensure that post-paid customers are not in arrears by making follow-ups on defaulting customers and making necessary recommendations to Manager Credit Control
⦁     Ensure that bad debt is reduced to a minimum by making follow ups on accounts 60 days and above and negotiating payment terms.
⦁     Ensure that credit notes are raised and processed in X3 for all internal and external accounts before the following month-end 
⦁     Manage the accounts to ensure that they stay within their set credit limits and pay within set credit periods
Competencies
⦁     Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations and resolve conflicts effectively.
⦁     Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure, while managing multiple priorities
⦁     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address root causes of payment delinquency
⦁     Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Qualifications and Experience

⦁    Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred 
⦁    At least 2 years of experience in credit collections or related field
