Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the role of the incumbent shall be to work with business to ensure that Vodacom Lesotho is in compliance with all regulations, laws and policies as well as ensure embedment of a robust compliance culture within the organisation through ensuring compliance by design, running robust compliance programmes – staff education, monitoring across Vodacom Lesotho and its entities

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with legal teams advising the organisation on compliance related matters
  • Develop and implement an effective compliance programme
  • Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to such controls
  • Ensure that compliance policies are in place and are reviewed regularly in line with laws and regulations, best practice and Group Compliance standards
  • Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
  • Evaluate business activities to assess compliance risks
  • Implement a monitoring programme that will help identify, investigate and report compliance issues, irregularities and violations.
  • Develop and provide employee training on compliance policies, practices and reporting systems
  • Implement the law enforcement program and ensure that law enforcement queries and requests are attended to.

Requirements

  • LLB degree
  •  2+ years’ experience in compliance environment.
  • Understanding of the industry and regulations that apply to the industry
  • Good understanding of global compliance landscape in technology or telecommunications businesses
  • Knowledge of compliance management standards, tools, methodologies and best practices
