Details
The Sony World Photography Awards are held annually by the World Photography Organisation.

There are four competitions:
Professional competition
All entrants must be over 18. Photographers must submit a series of 5 to 10 images per category.
Open competition
The competition is open to anyone. The Open competition rewards outstanding single images across ten categories.
Youth competition
The competition is open to photographers under 19 year-olds. Each entrant can submit up to three images per monthly competition.
Entries will be judged on a monthly basis and the monthly winner will be announced at the beginning of each following month. The overall winner will be selected at the beginning of 2023.
Student competition
The competition is open to all students of photography from World Photography Organisation’s selected Universities. Universities can register here. Students are required to submit five (5) – ten (10) images responding to a brief.

Entry is free.
Prizes

• Professional competition

Photographer of the Year – $25,000 (USD) and Sony digital imaging equipment.
Category winners – Sony digital imaging equipment.

• Open competition

Overall winner – $5,000 (USD) and Sony digital imaging equipment.
Category winners – Sony digital imaging equipment.

• Youth competition

Youth Photographer of the Year – Sony digital imaging equipment.

• Student competition

Overall winner – Sony digital imaging equipment.
