POSITION SUMMARY
The Software Engineer (SE) is a mid-level position in the Software Development department. The key responsibility if the SE is to deliver high quality software solutions for the company clients as well as lead software development teams in delivering complex IT solutions in diverse environments.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To analyze, design, develop, implement and support web application systems
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To design, implement, and support a wide range of software and database solutions across a variety of operating systems, hardware platforms, network environments, and user communities.
DUTIES
To design, develop and implement software applications / systems for the department and clients according to the corporate software development standards.
To produce system and user documentation during the development of systems.
To design and develop database systems
Test, debug and document software developed both internally and externally.
To carry out maintenance and support of assigned systems.
To plan how work is to be carried out to meet targets of the project or team task.
Customer Management
Provide prompt and efficient service to customers, obtaining good ratings
Maintain a positive relationship with customers
Manage documentation so that it does not become incorrect as the system evolves
Provide professional training to end-users of CBS software and systems, obtaining good ratings
Participate actively in CBS customer training, maximizing the benefit to yourself and CBS
Assist with the training or orientation of other CBS staff members
Meet or exceed set financial targets

CORE TECHNOLOGIES
Should possess technical breadth and/or depth in the following technologies (or similar):
Applications Development: C#, VB.net, ASP.net, HTML, XML, JavaScript, VB Script, DHTML, Java, Visual Basic, Visual C++ , IIS, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, FTP , J Query
Network infrastructure configuration – latest Windows OS – Workstation/Server and TCP/IP,
Good knowledge of virtualization and Cloud Technology
Database design – Data Warehousing, MySQL, MS SQL and ORACLE
Active Server Pages technologies
Crystal Reports and Microsoft reporting services
Modern Web Applications Design automation tools
QUALIFICATION
BSc. in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent with minimum 3 years of experience in software development
Ability to sell will be an added advantage
