Background
LRCS is currently engaged in the Covid 19 pandemic as a result the suitable candidates are urged to apply for temporary engagement for the below positions:
1. Social Worker x 1
Expected duration of Assignment: 4 months
Main summary:
To help serve the communities that LRCS have a presence in by assisting communities that are affected by covid 19 applying the model of Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) in the areas such as negligence, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health and parental substance abuse. Cases will be handled by phone or in person. The candidates will be in charge of assessing clients and gathering relevant information about their cases, providing crisis intervention, and contacting and making referrals to other agencies and services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology, or related field and relevant experience in the same career
Competencies:
• Good report writing skills for donor funded projects.
• Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional manner.
• Must be able to maintain appropriate client boundaries.
• Must have experience working with MS office suite and hold strong organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable working with diverse clients and children.
• A good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
