The Zero2Five Trust is participating in the WILDTRUST Youth Employment Services (YES) programme funded by NEDBANK which is aimed at reducing Youth unemployment levels. The YES programme provides a one-year work-based job training experience aimed at affording unemployed youth practical and meaningful work opportunities.
Zero2Five Trust seeks to appoint Six Social Auxiliary Workers to be based in Estcourt (KZN) – must have own transport
Remuneration: R3 760.00 per month
Employment Type: 12-month fixed contract from 3rd May
Requirements:
Between 18 and 27 years of age
SARS income tax number and valid email address
Currently unemployed
Candidate has not previously participated or been employed in any YES programme
Qualified Social Auxiliary Worker with certificates
Registered with SACSSP
Exposure or experience with ECD/After care registration
Proficient in isiZulu and English
Mature, able to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and to take initiative
Experience in participatory training and working with children and adults
Report writing skills
Driver’s licence will be a distinctive advantage
Residing in Estcourt/uThukela District or surrounding areas
Matric. Any relevant post-matric qualifications and volunteer or other work experience will be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
Computer literacy with good English and written skills;
Accurate and timeous data capturing;
Compile and update ECD site related records;
Assessing ECD facilities for DSD registration;
Monitoring compliance based on the ECD Norms and standards;
Facilitate training for Facilities on registration process, hygiene practices and Covid-19 compliance;
Mentor facilities and follow up visits on registration progress;
Consultation with ECD and After Care facilities in regard to DSD registration;
Stakeholders engagement at community level and representing organisation in local ECD platforms
