Interactive Research and Development South Africa (IRD SA NPC) is a South African Section 21 not-for-profit entity and an affiliate of Interactive Research and Development Global (IRD Global), and has fully operational offices in Johannesburg, Pretoria (Gauteng) and in Durban (KwaZulu-Natal).
Position Summary
Responsibilities:
Provide support and assistance to the counselling team
Link tuberculosis (susceptible and resistant) patients to treatment and care
Provide adherence support to persons infected with TB (Retaining patients to care and prevent treatment interruption)
Provide monthly reports to line manager
Liaise with relevant programme staff as need be to support patients
Assist with social support interventions
Document service provided, time sheets and updating records
Participate in team meetings, reviews and quality improvement strategies
Requirements:
Appropriate qualification and proof of latest registration
Minimum one-year experience working in a similar position, or within the mental health programme will be an advantage
Fluency in at least two of the official languages of Gauteng and Western Cape
Written and spoken communication skills
Computer literacy
Working conditions:
Willingness and availability to travel within district
On occasion, to work long and/or irregular /or after hours/ holidays and weekends if needed
