Community Action towards a Safer Environment (CASE) seeks to break the cycle of crime and violence in which young people live by equipping community members to reorganize and respond appropriately to both the causes and effects of crime and violence in their communities
CASE seeks to appoint a Community Social Auxiliary Worker, based in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:
Complete intake level assessment
Assist social workers with case management
Conduct basic interview sessions for information gathering
Compile letters/reports of a professional standard
Assist social workers with casework interventions when required
Engage in community work and group work sessions
Provide crisis intervention under the supervision of a social worker/supervisor
Assist and in evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and programs by monitoring and reporting on clients’ progress
Maintain contact with other social service agencies, schools and health care providers involved with clients to provide information and obtain feedback on clients’ overall situation and progress
Compile monthly stats
Requirements:
Work experience
Be willing to learn and take part in ongoing training offered and supervision every week
Qualified social auxiliary worker with certificates
Be register with the SACSSP
Proof of registration is required
Communication skills
Proficient in English and Afrikaans
isiXhosa would be an advantage
Writing skills required
Professional conduct is a must
Ability to work individually as well as a part of a team
