SKI & SNOWBOARD RENTAL SUPERVISOR
Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Ski & Snowboard Rental Supervisor at its site at Mahlasela Pass.
The Ski & Snowboard Rental Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ski rental department, ensuring efficient service delivery, accurate cash handling, effective equipment control, and an exceptional guest experience. The role includes supervising rental staff, managing stock levels, and maintaining operational standards.
Job Responsibilities
You will:
• Supervise and coordinate ski rental staff during shifts
• Ensure accurate processing of rental transactions and proper cash balancing
• Oversee equipment issuance, returns, and condition control
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damages
• Handle customer complaints and resolve service issues professionally
• Train and mentor rental assistants and cashiers
• Prepare daily operational and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures
• Assist with seasonal planning and staffing during peak periods
Requirements
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or a related field (advantageous)
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in retail, hospitality, or rental operations
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Strong cash‑handling and reconciliation skills
• Good leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Basic computer literacy
• Strong leadership and team‑management ability
• High level of integrity and accountability
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure during peak seasons
• Good problem‑solving ability
