SketchUp, Trimble has announced a global “Design Sprint Challenge” inviting architects, designers, and creative professionals to imagine how small spaces can shape a better future. This time-limited competition challenges participants to design a meaningful space in just 60 minutes using SketchUp, with a grand prize of $5,000 and more.
Participants only have 500 square feet to work with, they must use at least one SketchUp visualization feature, and they must create the design in SketchUp in 60 minutes or less. The challenge runs through Wednesday, June 11.
The first place winner will receive $5,000, a one-year SketchUp Studio subscription and promotion of their designs to the SketchUp audience. Entry Requirements:
– Entries should demonstrate how limited urban space can be maximized to create a meaningful impact for future communities.
– Participants must use at least one visualization feature: Ambient Occlusion, Diffusion, Photoreal Materials, Environments, and/or Live Components.
– Participants must submit their entry along with their design description, including which visualization feature(s) they used, the time it took to design the model, and contact information, including name, email, location, and phone number.
– Entries must include an SKP file of the model, a final image of the design (JPEG), and an MP4 (for the video). MP4 video can be a screen share of their design process. Professionally edited videos, voiceovers, etc, are not required.
– Participants are only allowed one entry into the challenge.
– Entries start on April 28th at 09:00 MT and end on June 11th at 00:00 MT. Late or incomplete entries will not be considered.
