Site Manager Vacancy
C.J Mining Holdings is operating a diamond prospecting project in Ngope-Tsoeu (Roma). We seek to train, equip, and develop graduates and qualified Basotho candidates with relevant career-specific educational backgrounds for a 5-year employment contract during the mining phase.

About the Role
The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable mining operations while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and direction to all site personnel, fostering a safety-conscious work environment.
- Oversee all mining operations, including extraction, processing, maintenance, and planning, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.
- Develop and implement site operational plans, budgets, and forecasts, monitoring performance against key metrics.
- Ensure compliance with Lesotho mining laws, environmental regulations, and company safety standards.
- Manage and optimize the utilization of mining equipment and resources.
- Lead and mentor the site management team, promoting professional development and teamwork.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government agencies, and stakeholders.
- Oversee safety programs and initiatives to maintain a zero-harm culture.
- Manage site security and emergency response procedures.
- Prepare and present regular reports on site performance to senior management.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage contractor relationships and performance.
- Oversee environmental management and rehabilitation activities at the site.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- Proven track record of successfully managing mining operations, achieving production targets, and controlling costs.
- Extensive knowledge of mining methods, equipment, and safety regulations related to diamond mining.
- Strong understanding of Lesotho mining legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and community relations, preferably in the Lesotho context.
- Proficiency in mine management software and technology.
- Valid driver’s license.
