Site Engineer
Lesotho Flour Mills, a leading FMCG company, is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Site Engineer to lead engineering operations, ensure optimal plant efficiency, and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Performance Areas / Expected Outputs
- Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and innovation
- Ensure plant assets and equipment operate at design capacity and targeted efficiencies
- Implement and manage planned maintenance systems to minimize downtime and improve reliability
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and improvement of production lines and milling equipment
- Manage the engineering budget and control expenses
- Ensure compliance with OHAS Act, internal SHEQ standards, and insurer requirements
- Drive major maintenance and capital projects
- Manage outsourcing of tasks and quality of service delivery
- Lead employee development and succession planning
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Professional Engineer registration preferred
- Knowledge of milling processes and packaging machinery
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or maintenance systems
