TCL is currently looking for energetic, enthusiastic, conscientious, customer centricity and results oriented also with ability to work under pressure candidate for the following position: Site Agent

Job purpose:

The purpose of the position is to manage mining operations, mining project team and mining fleet. Provide strategic leadership to the team in order to meet the project’s objectives.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Establish and maintain long-term working relationship between TCL and client, suppliers, subcontractors, and subordinates working ergonomically as per the contract with the client.
  2. Plan strategically to improve overall project performance.
  3. Formulate mining execution plans and programs to satisfy client’s needs, applicable standards, codes of practice and legislation.
  4. Monitor, evaluate and communicate mining project schedules to all stakeholders.
  5. Plan, organize and support mining project meetings.
  6. Manage mining assets by identifying, sourcing and allocating mining resources for the project.
  7. Liaise with client to determine mining requirements as per the regulations.
  8. Conduct meetings whenever necessary with business units to make them aware of recent developments within the mining area.
  9. Plan daily plant utilization and consumptions.
  10. Safely design site traffic management plan.
  11. Lead and drive cost saving conservation initiatives.
  12. Report on variances and reasons thereof.
  13. Provide overall SHEQ leadership within the project.
  14. Ensure that mining is done in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

Required experience:

  • Proven track record in managing open pit mining project.
  • General knowledge of financial management and budgeting.
  • Loading and hauling experience
  • Strong construction background
  • 5 years at management level

Required competencies:

  • Sound knowledge of applicable mining laws and act.
  • Sound knowledge of SHEQ laws and act.
  • Mining planning and scheduling.
  • Understanding of key compliance issues in accordance with corporate governance principles.
