Job Title: Site Administrator

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To oversee catering and housekeeping contract, recreational facilities and activities, and to manage mine accommodation and staff transportation as well as managing all aspects of the mine site premises (camp management).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Develops appropriate administrative policies and procedures

• Understanding of the standards and requirements applicable to the catering and accommodation facilities

• Accountable for accurate and effective administration and arrangements relating to accommodation, catering, laundry services and ad hoc transport activities.

• To ensure general cleaning of the camp, rooms and ablution facilities

• To arrange employees’ transport weekly to accommodate all shift cycles on the mine

• To develop, maintain and monitor the camp register per room on site

• Monitor the catering and accommodation contractor to ensure proper service delivery

• Prepare daily meal control sheets

• Allocate accommodation to all employees and visitors on site, and induct visitors

• Develop a budget, monitor and control expenditure

• Plan the purchase of materials required to run the camp

• Responsible for sports and entertainment of employees

• Arrange and coordinate the maintenance of the mine facilities

• Informs catering contractor of the daily numbers of people to be fed

• Work together with Security Department on security related matters.

• Work together with the Safety department to promote a safe environment for all

• Assist the HR department with the on-boarding process by coordinating site travel and accommodation

• Ensure the efficient operation of the Site Services section by maintaining records, document control and keeping updated registers

• Responsible for general administrative duties

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Facility Management/Hotel Management/Hospitality Management or equivalent

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in administration work in the mining environment or heavy-duty industry, in a supervisory role

• Or minimum of 5 years’ experience working in one or more of the Hospitality sectors, preferably in a camp or site-based environment in a supervisory role

• Driver’s License (Code B)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Excellent Communication and Report Writing skills

• Interpersonal and Leadership skills

• Basic financial management skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Customer Care
