PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The purpose of this position is to assist the mine with social welfare of employees and visitors on site, by offering administrative services, catering, housekeeping and transport as per instruction from the relevant supervisors. Reports directly to the Site Administrator.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Hospitality Management / Tourism Management
  • 3 Years’ Experience in the mining industry
  • 3 Years’ Experience in the hotel industry
  • 5 Years’ Experience driving a manual operated vehicle

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Supervision and coordination of kitchen, housekeeping, laundry, accommodation, and Camp cleaning

  • Ensuring that daily meal control is prepared according to shifts and submitted to the kitchen for their daily meal plans (Meal plans for visitors and employees)
  • Capturing and reconciliation of daily meal control sheets (Manday statistics)
  • Purchasing kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Daily supervision and kitchen inspections
  • Organizing purchases and maintenance of kitchen equipment
    Accommodation
  • Preparation and provision of accommodation for employees and visitors
  • Allocation of rooms as prescribed by HR office and according to seniority.
  • Processing of accommodation bookings for employees
  • Allocation of rooms per reservations for guests
  • Ensuring that all rooms on site are adequately equipped in order to make them habitable.
    Laundry
  • Monitoring and supervision of laundry services
  • Organizing purchases and maintenance of laundry equipment
  • Ensuring purchased equipment is being taken care of by Contractor
    Transport
  • Organizing transport for employees and visitors
  • Monitor and inspection of fitness of vehicles transporting employees.
  • Monthly fitness checks
  • Transportation of people and items on and off camp.
  • Renewal of company’s vehicles registration documents
    Suppliers
  • Preparation and issuance of laundry slips to Supervisors
  • Processing monthly Siteservices Administration invoices
    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of booking programs e.g. Odyssey or Adel
  • Customer care
  • Good communication skills and report writing skills.
  • Must be numerical.
  • Ability to work in a team.
