Position: Shop Assistant – Butchery / Chesa Nyama
Location: Maseru, Lesotho
Working Hours: Full-time (including weekends and public holidays)
Closing Date: 12 August 2025
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Shop Assistant to join our team at a busy Butchery and Chesa Nyama outlet in Maseru.
Key Responsibilities
• Slicing and preparing various cuts of meat
• Assisting in cooking and grilling for the Chesa Nyama section
• Providing excellent customer service at the counter
• Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene of the working area
• Assisting with stock rotation and inventory management
Requirements
• Experience in slicing meat and working in a butchery environment
• Ability to cook/grill meat, especially for Chesa Nyama
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Honest, dependable, and able to work under pressure
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Must be based in or able to travel to Maseru
