RESPONSIBLE TO : PRINCIPAL TECHNICAL OFFICER
Purpose of the job
To carry out maintenance and repair works for electrical fittings and appliances, Installations, Fencing, Refrigeration, Air conditioners and fire detectors etc
6. To carry out maintenance and repair works for electrical fittings and appliances, Installations, Fencing, Refrigeration, Air conditioners and fire detectors etc.
6.1. Assesses complaints
6.2. Collects and prepares material for maintenance
6.4. Paints repaired works
7. Prepare monthly reports on work done
7.1. Collect data on the job done and compile a report
8. To supervise jobs
8.1. Supervises the staff on site
8.2. Monitors the job done
8.3. Inspects and certifies completed jobs
9. To appraise the performance of staff
9.1. Supports staff to develop work plans
9.2. Monitors and evaluates performance
10. To handle grievance and disciplinary cases
10. 1. Discipline staff
10.2. Resolve grievances
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Certificate in Electrical Installation (not less than three years work experience) L.T.I/T.S . L/Leloaleng
Certificate in Electrical Installation not less than 1 year academic traing from Bishop Allard, Opportunities Industrialisation Center plus 2 years working experience.
Trade test B with 3 years relevant experience OR
Trade test C with 5 years working experience.
Ability to read plans, drawing, technical manual and material specifications Computer literacy
Ability to work as a team Must be Safety conscious
Be prepared to work beyond normal working hours and under pressure Ability to communicate orally and in writing,
Ability to work without close supervision

Unfavourable conditions; There is a risk of falling as officers carry out repair. There is a risk of sustaining injuries when using power tools.
