Senior Specialist Revenue Assurance

Role Purpose


The Senior Specialist Margin Assurance will deliver revenue and cost assurance for Vodacom through design, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of controls on all GSM and mobile money products.Mobile Money products. The Senior Specialist will be reporting to the Manager Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management.


Key deliverables:


• Assist in supervision of all revenue assurance and fraud management activities.
• Design and implement controls to ensure customer and product profitability (customer margin).
• Ensure integrity of all GSM and Mobile Money platforms
• Lead and supervise reconciliation of all Mobile Money, Voice, Data and SMS usage across all business support systems to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Lead and supervise reconciliation of all (Value Added Services) transactions with third parties to ensure completeness and accuracy to prevent and/or resolve payments disputes.
• To ensure complete and accurate rating of all GSM and mobile money as well as wholesale products to assure regulatory compliance.
• Lead the design and implement controls to ensure Revenue Leakage prevention prior to launch of new products or change to existing products.
• Apply Independent checks on applicable commissions (payable, receivable) to ensure accuracy.
• Promote usability best practices and conduct research
• Lead alignments with Vodacom EBU, EBU, Mobile money, Project, Product Design teams to ensure alignment with Vodacom best practices guidelines.
• Apply and deliver the above KPIs on GSM, Mobile Money as well as Fraud management as required.


Qualifications:


• Degree or equivalent in Information Systems/Computer Science/Business Analytics or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 4 – 5 years’ telecommunications experience is essential
• 2- 3 years’ experience in SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL knowledge/certification (desired),
• Knowledge of Industry reporting/billing/business intelligence tools. E.g. CRM, SAP Business Objects, Oracle BI, etc.
• Revenue Assurance, Fraud Management, Risk Management, Business analysis and process management experience (essential)
• Data science and statistical knowledge (advantageous)
