We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to manage and oversee HWSAs Corporate; government and related programs and other Ad hoc related Programs. The qualified and experienced incumbent will provide strategic guidance to teams and program manage HWSA`s programs in ways that promote the company’s policies, procedures and culture. This will include overseeing program operations; reporting to donors and HWSA Management, including overseeing the progress of programmes through the data systems and operations.
Strategic Programme Management
Project Leader for all Corporate; government and Community Programmes
Overall management of all Programme operations
Overall management and co-ordination of the specified programs
Responsible for managing, overseeing and reporting on Nutrition Programmes; Centre Based and None Centre based Programmes; Community Based Programmes; Training Programmes; H4H; HEN; HTA and other relevant Programmes
Overall management of Project Team; i.e. Programme Managers
Contributing to strategy, policy and procedure
Lead detailed project planning and implementation
Management of suppliers and contractual relationship
Manage budget; Budgetary control and oversight of all Programmes
Site Improvement through Monitoring (SIMS) preparation and Data Validation.
Stakeholder management (government; donors; centers; internal and external clients; community, facility, and private sector)
Prepare and presents targets; budget reports to HWSA Management and Donor on program results.
Lead and evaluate project performance and related matters
Manage and oversee overall cross-project activities
Monitoring of and responding to issues at the program level
Managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in the project work
Report to and account to HWSA SMT on program progress as and when required.
Management and overseeing of MER Team
Data quality and management
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Honours in Project Management; Social Sciences; Education or related. Certification in Advanced Project Management and other relevant qualifications will be an advantage.

Advantageous if have ability to speak three or more local African languages
Project Management Principles, Early Childhood Development, Nutrition Programme, Finance and Budget management, People Management and Development, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting.
· Proven 5-10 years’ experience as a Senior Program Manager or other managerial position,
· 8 years of more working in the NGO sector at management level; previous experience with donor/ grants essential.
· Previous experience as a Project Leader in community projects
· Previous work with project management skills especially with orphans, vulnerable children, and youth essential.
· Proven record of Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting experience necessary.
Experience in reaching targets and working with training programmes and interventions
Knowledge of Project Management Systems and processes
Understanding of Project Management strategies
Experience as a community organisations will be advantageous
Possess good knowledge of People management
Experience with working with children according to the child protection policies
Local travel in and around Southern Africa, must have own transport and drivers licence
