About this role
Our client is implementing cloud and data best practice compliance throughout their organisation. The roadmap has been defined on a high level and now they are looking to start this implementation of best practices in the coming month, which will likely be 6 months of work to start. Currently working on this are a team of IT & enterprise architects, but they currently have no PMO to own reporting and project tracking.
This is where you come in!
Your Responsibilities
You would join the team as the sole PMO specialist, taking over a roadmap they have drafted, making it more defined and keeping it updated through the project.
It is a classic PMO role where they are looking for you to own the RAID logs, Gantt charts etc to make sure the reporting is accurate at any stage of the project. As the project is due to kick off at the start of October, with you joining in September, your first priority will be to make sure all requirements for the project objectives are listed on the project roadmap.
One of your key activities will be to chase people in the team for their updates for weekly reporting. You will need to show initiative and strong interpersonal skills, so very strong English is a key requirement and being personable, while firm. We are not looking for someone that will back down when someone doesn’t come back to them, but use good relationship building to get the information you need from all parties.
You would be joining daily Scrum meetings which would give you the opportunity to escalate, if required.
About You
We’re looking for passionate technologists who enjoy working in collaborative agile teams. You’ll need to be a clear, concise & engaging communicator with people on your team. We enjoy the big picture and the detail; we want people who excel at both.
We’d love for you to bring:
- Experience in digital organisations with Agile Scrum methodology, preferably working on cloud and data projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a tenacious attitude
- Experience in running PMO independently
- Experience in owning weekly reporting, RAID and Gantt charts
