Liqhobong Mining Development Company (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Firestone Diamonds, invites suitably qualified, competent and results oriented Basotho to apply for the following vacant Position:
POSITION: Senior Plant Operator
JOB DESCRIPTION/ PURPOSE
The incumbent is responsible to operate the plant in a safe, secure, efficient and productive manner. The function requires detailed knowledge of diamond beneficiation process and good verbal communication skills to ensure productivity and efficiency targets are met.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 3 years’ processing plant operation experience (DMS plant experience will be an added advantage);
- Proven track record in metallurgical plant operations specifically scrubbers, crushers and DMS operations;
- Minimum National Higher Certificate in the relevant Engineering field (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Processing) or equivalent.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Metallurgical process and plant operating skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Sound interpersonal and leadership skills;
- Initiative, energy and self-driven.
- Successful completion of fitness to perform work (Medical examinations)
- Willingness to undergo regular integrity tests and Police clearance (No past or outstanding criminal convictions);
- Free from vertigo.
- Not colour blind.
