Requirements:
• Degree in General Nursing and Midwifery;
• Registration with the Lesotho Nursing Council as a Nurse Midwife;
• Good report writing,training and computer skills;
• 3-5 years’ clinical work experience in maternity and HIV, TB/HIV collaborative activities and MCH services;
• Experience working with NGOS will be an added advantage;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while working as a part of a team;
• Strong knowledge of Lesotho health care system and experience working with Ministry of Health (MOH) structures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reports to the Programs Manager;
• Provides clinical support to the District Coordinators and Lay Counsellors for the implementation of PITC for all clients who come to the facility;
• Support TB as well as HIV care and treatment services to eligible clients;
• Coordinate integration of ART in MNCH, TB in ART and ART in TB clinic and ensure appropriate linkages;
• Provide technical support to the Hospital/Health Facility staff to ensure integration of TB/HIV prevention, care and treatment services;
• Support the District Coordinators in conducting onsite training and mentorship on PMTCT as well TB/HIV services according to MOH guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
• Ensure that PITC and protocols for service delivery are followed and adhered to at all times.
