It is an exciting time to join Verra! Our organization is growing rapidly and building the capacity to meet strategic technical requirements. As such, we are seeking a Senior Manager, IT Operations & Support to oversee the daily activities of the technology operations and support team. In this role you will assist in the management of employee and first-level manager activities across Information Technology Management including infrastructure updates and administration, information management, computing security, computing project support and process analysis.

A day in our collaborative office might include . . .

  • Presenting with our managed Services Provider (MSP) and IT Support Manager to implement organization-wide technology-related upgrades.
  • Coordinating with our IT Security Manager to establish security and data protection policies and proper vetting of any new software or technology asset.
  • Facilitating the procurement, configuration, and delivery of computer equipment and peripherals to new employees.

Specific functions you will be responsible for . . .

  • Managing Verra’s internet and IT assets, and improving internal IT processes, developing standard operating procedures, including written protocols.
  • Developing, maintaining, and improving Verra’s technology enablement and IT training program for employees.
  • Leading, with the support of the Director, negotiations and administration of new vendor contracts and service agreements.
  • Coordinating with IT Procurement Manager to establish new Vendor Relationships for international shipping and distribution.
  • Research products and equipment as technological improvements are needed; prepare product/equipment specifications.
  • Researching websites/contacting vendors to gather technical information and pricing on supplies and equipment.
  • Assisting the IT Director with preparing asset budgets for all IT equipment and software.
  • Managing and providing developmental opportunities for IT employees.
  • Coordinating with the IT Consultative Group (ITCG), Human Resources (HR), and external consultants to collect feedback on training modules, review planned hires, and assess the implementation status of multiple programs.

You bring with you . . .

  • A degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with a minimum of ten years’ work experience within a Technology operations environment; bonus points for ITIL certification.
  • 10+ years’ experience within a leadership role in an IT Operations / Support team.
  • Demonstrated experience with project management; from conceptualization to launching and delivering multiple IT projects on time, within budget, and with good partner adoption.
  • A customer-service approach and passion for technology; you are committed to keeping up to date on new developments in IT.
  • Effective, empathetic communication and presentation skills, you enjoy teaching and training others.

Compensation at Verra

The final compensation offered will be contingent upon role, level and location. Our Talent team can share the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Salary is one component of Verra’s total compensation package which also includes:
