Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in Political Science

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for position of a Political Science Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

The applicants must be Professors of Political Science with minimum of ten years teaching experience with a PhD at University level; evidence of extensive record of research output in referred and accredited publications. Preference will be given to those who specialize in teaching the courses in various fields of Political Science, including Political Theory, Comparative Politics, International Relations, International Political Economy and Political Sociology. Candidates with PhD in Political Science and minimum of five years teaching and administrative and experience at University level will be considered for the post of Senior Lecturer

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to: teach Political Science courses and supervise students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, engage in research, curriculum development, academic citizenship, community services activities, and perform any other duties assigned to him/her by the Head of Department from time to time.

Employment Type

This is a two-year contract position for expatriates and a permanent and pensionable for locals on condition of passing two-year probation.
