LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER
DEPARTMENT – ECONOMICS
FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified local candidates for the above position.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The applicant should have the following credentials:
A PhD in Economics
Masters in Economics with coursework
Strong background in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics and Quantitative Methods/Techniques
Expert in Development Microeconomics (Health, Labour, Environmental or Public Finance).
Publications in recognised or accredited journals, experience in tertiary- level teaching and a PhD with coursework from the above-mentioned courses will be an added advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will be expected to lecture courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level, supervise and monitor student’s projects/dissertations.
REMUNERATION
The University offers competitive salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.
TYPE OF CONTRACT
Permanent and pensionable/ gratuitable for locals and a contract/gratuitable for Non-Locals.
