The Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR) is a non-governmental organisation which envisions societies that are peaceful, equal and free from violence. CSVR aims to understand and prevent violence, heal its effects and build sustainable peace at community, national and regional levels. We do this through collaboration with and learning from the lived and diverse experiences of communities affected by violence and conflict to inform innovative interventions, generate knowledge, shape public discourse, influence policy, hold states accountable and promote gender equality, social cohesion and active citizenship.
CSVR seeks to appoint a Senior Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer based in Johannesburg.
Employment Type: Full-time contract, renewable depending on funding.
The successful candidate will work as part of CSVR’s Knowledge & Learning Programme.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures, indicators and tools for collecting and analysing data
Generate knowledge and facilitate learning by assisting the MHPSS team to monitor projects and interventions
Analyse LME data and facilitate reflective sessions for feedback for learning and improving of practice
Contribute to the development and implementation of a knowledge management process
Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational learning process
Contribute to the alignment of clinical tools and indicators with model development processes
Assist with the incorporation of gender responsive M&E practices into the LM&E systems
Participate in reporting activities for funders, board and other reports
Mentor and provide technical support to other members of the KLM&E team
Competency Profile:
Honours Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent
Monitoring & Evaluation Training
At least five years’ work experience in LM&E
Monitoring and evaluation system development
Project Management
Experience in a non-government sector will be an added advantage
