Job Title : Senior Instructor –Electrical Installation and Solar Energy

Job Summary: Implementation of training programmes and processes, general supervision of subordinates and timely reporting of training performance of the department.

Qualifications:
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering with three years’ experience or National Craft Certificate in Electrical Installation with minimum of five years’ experience. Knowledge of Solar Technologies and trade test certificate are a must and a teaching qualification will be an added advantage
Experience
Minimum five years’ experience in programme design and implementation in a TVET institution.

Personal attributes:
Ability to make informed judgements, Proactive, time conscious, ability to work under pressure, innovative, rainmaker.
Key responsibilities;
1) Advises the head of training on the management of LOIC training programmes (long and short term courses).
2) Oversees the implementation of training programmes in line with MSCM vision and TVD framework.
3) Implements the designed curriculum in compliance with the set standards. These will include Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ).
4) Manages the usage of training material.
5) Manages the training tools allocated to the department.
6) Follows up on trainees during attachment to assess the skill and knowledge transfer uptake.
7) Continuously manages the daily attendance of the trainees.
8) Participates in LOIC management initiatives.
9) Executes any other assignments that may be assigned to him/her by the head of the Division.
