About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and energetic employee communications and content expert to join the Employee Communications, Connection & Experience team at Netlify. You will champion the development and maintenance of a positive, inclusive company culture and ensure our values are lived across the organization. You will do this by partnering with the business and leadership team to ensure effective communication of change, policies, and programs to employees.

In this role, you will design and implement an organizational internal communications strategy with the Director of Employee Communications, Connection & Experience and VP of People. You will create and maintain the editorial calendar, digital employee handbook, messaging framework, manager communications guide, and communications resources center. You will develop content and communications campaigns to support our leaders, business objectives, and our Values 2.0 initiative, ensuring our values are lived across the organization.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in executive and employee communications.
  • A history of communicating with and creating content for a global organization with diverse employees.
  • A breadth of experience in creating messaging and content for leadership presentations at internal events such as All-Hands and fireside chats.
  • A knowledge of employee communications platforms and software.
  • A passion for content, copyediting, and storytelling.
  • An eye for detail and insisting on the highest standards.
  • A love of data, metrics, and analytics to ensure our messaging is resonating with employees.
  • A high level of comfort meeting with C-suite executives and the leadership team.
  • A good sense of humor and willingness to care deeply and have fun.
  • A willingness to “weigh in and buy in” to deliver timely, accurate information to employees.
  • A desire to understand through active listening and questioning, proactively address problems you identify and assume responsibility for your work.

Within 1 month, you’ll:

  • Learn about Netlify, including our technology platform, culture, and values.
  • Onboard and get acquainted with how we communicate with employees globally.
  • Start building relationships with teams that you’ll be working with on a regular basis.
  • Conduct an audit of our communications channels, tools and resources.
  • Create a 2022 editorial calendar and content submission process.
  • Gather and own the content for the Monday Kickstarter meetings.
  • Research and begin drafting the organizational internal communications strategy.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Deliver the organizational internal communications strategy and timeline.
  • Help create content and campaigns for our Values 2.0 initiative.
  • Begin developing the 2022 Messaging Framework based on our business priorities and goals.
  • Research best practices for visual storytelling and creative channels to reach employees.
  • Determine the best way to capture metrics and data to influence our communications strategies.

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Create an internal Communications Resource Center to serve as a single source of truth for employee communications.
  • Adjust and refine the organizational internal communications strategy and timeline based on initial results and learnings.
  • Work with the leadership team to create messaging and content for the 2022 All-Hands.
