Avalanche Consulting invites CVs from Basotho for the following position:
Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience in Electrical Engineering works.
- At least 10 years’ experience in rural electrification design.
- Proven expertise in:
- Electrical distribution design and supervision in mountainous terrains.
- Leading design teams for a minimum of 5 years.
- Planning, design, and/or operation of on-grid and off-grid distribution systems in developing countries (minimum 5 years).
- Participation in at least one assignment involving the preparation of a power master plan or energy sector development strategy in a developing country.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the roadway geometric design specialist within the design team.
- Oversee and conduct roadway geometric designs and prepare related documentation.
- Provide technical support to the site team during construction.
