Senior Economist – Studies & Policy Analysis (SAD) – Ref: SESAD
The Senior Economist is responsible for contributing to macroeconomic research and policy analysis to enhance the Bank’s decision-making and knowledge base.
Areas of Responsibility
• Preparing analytical sections for Economic Reviews, Annual Reports and MPC documents
• Conducting technical assessments and commentary on macroeconomic developments
• Drafting policy memos and briefing notes
• Collaborating across divisions in cross-cutting economic research
• Contributing to regional surveillance reports (SADC, IMF)
• Supporting internal capacity building through peer review, data analysis and training

Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Economics
• PhD in Economics will be an advantage
Experience
• Five years of experience in macroeconomic research and/or policy analysis
• Demonstrated experience in applied macroeconomic analysis and analytical writing
