About the position

As Senior Director of Organization Members, you will lead a team dedicated to engaging our members and partners who are businesses, non-profits, and more. 

By delivering benefits that bring value to our members and advance our strategy, we’ll provide critical solutions needed to protect the Internet. By doing this, you’ll also be playing a pivotal role in increasing our revenue streams so our work on the ground can have even more of an impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the VP of External and Community Engagement to identify, develop, and implement an effective engagement strategy for organization members and partners, pursuing ISOC strategic objectives.
  • Provide clear leadership to the Organization Membership team.
  • Work with all ISOC teams to create value for organization members and partners and enable them to collaborate on programs and projects.
  • Actively open doors / identifying opportunities to enable fundraising for the organization.
  • Build strong and lasting relations with new and existing partner organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in organizational partnership development and relationship management.
  • A good understanding of the Internet and its ecosystem/industry and good relationships with the key players in the space.
  • A solid understanding of ISOC’s Mission and the ability to align Organization Members’ interests with our work in order to bring value to our Members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of partners and build long-term relationships. English is a must; any additional language is a bonus.
  • Flexible and adaptable style; a leader who can positively impact both strategic and tactical partnership initiatives and actively look for opportunities to contribute to projects and programs.
  • A team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside the organization.
  • High energy and passion for Internet Society’s mission are essential.
  • Ability to construct, articulate, and implement an annual strategic development plan.
  • Commitment to the Internet Society’s mission, values and objectives.
  • Experience working with a Globally distributed workforce and ability to work across time zone.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability interact positively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Compensation and benefits for this position will be paid in local currency and based on the country and geographic location’s local salary and benefits market data for the position. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to relevant qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, business and organizational needs.
