Women First Digital (WFD) is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join its global remote team. The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting, analysing, and synthesising data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights that support organisational decision-making, product optimisation, donor reporting, and strategic planning.

Position Details

  • Position: Senior Data Analyst
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Location: Remote (Global)
  • Contract Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension

Salary and Benefits

  • Monthly salary ranging from USD 1,800 to USD 2,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and continuously improve WFD’s centralised data ecosystem, including data repositories, documentation, Google BigQuery datasets, and visualisation platforms.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, accessibility, and scalability across organisational data sources.
  • Integrate new data sources into the existing analytics infrastructure.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise dashboards and reporting systems.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance gaps, providing strategic recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional analyses of user journeys, platform performance, operational efficiency, and organisational impact.
  • Collaborate with Digital Operations, Partnerships, and Digital Marketing teams to strengthen reporting and organisational learning.
  • Support donor reporting, impact measurement, and strategic planning through high-quality data analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data management, automation, visualisation, and organisational data literacy.

Requirements

Experience
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, data management, reporting, and visualisation.
  • Experience extracting, transforming, and analysing quantitative data from multiple sources.
Technical Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills, including:
    • PivotTables.
    • Advanced formulas.
    • Power Query/data connectors.
    • Importing and combining external data sources.
  • Strong SQL skills, including:
    • Query writing.
    • Joins.
    • Common Table Expressions (CTEs).
    • Window functions.
    • Aggregations.
    • Query optimisation.
    • Data manipulation.
  • Experience using Python for:
    • Data analysis.
    • Automation.
    • Pandas and NumPy.
    • API integration.
    • Data cleaning.
    • ETL development and maintenance.
  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, Google BigQuery and cloud-based data warehousing.
  • Experience creating and maintaining dashboards using Google Looker Studio or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and digital analytics.
  • Experience integrating multiple data sources for scalable reporting and analytics.
Additional Skills
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience supporting donor reporting, monitoring frameworks, or organisational performance reporting will be an advantage.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and JSON data is an added advantage.
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Highly organised, proactive, innovative, and detail-oriented.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week.
  • Must have a laptop, personal phone, and a reliable internet connection.
