Afrika Tikkun seeks to appoint the Senior Creditors Clerk to be based in Head Office,Hyde Park Johannesburg.

Reporting to: Assistant Financial Manager

Purpose of the Job
The senior creditors’ clerk will be responsible for carrying out accounting and administrative duties such as the processing and payment of suppliers’ invoices, reconciliation of statements, following up on unpaid suppliers, obtaining statements and invoices.

Responsibilities:
Creditors Payments, invoicing and recording of financial transactions:
Capturing and processing all invoices
Ensure that all invoices and supporting documentation is complete and approved
Ensuring that all payments that are paid comply with the set standards and contain all the necessary required information
Manage key supplier accounts weekly
Timeous submission of payments to treasury bi-weekly
Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts
Preparation and submission of 30 day supplier payments by 25th of each month
Ensure that claims are paid timeously and correctly
Ensure correct allocations to the supplier account and maintain a supplier age analysis with balances not exceeding 30 days
Process Prepayments journals and prepare schedule monthly
Process Accruals journals and prepare schedule monthly
Review monthly Fixed Costs per centre for completeness
Liaise with centre/office administrators on the correct processing of costs on the spend management system
Maintain a proper and logical filing system (Soft copy as well as hard copy)
Assist the Cost Accountant with month end reviews and reports
Maintain master supplier list on Pastel and Fraxion (Spend Management system)
Ad hoc reporting
Management:

General:
Comply with all directives from time to time given to you by the company, and all rules and regulations
Any other ad hoc functions to be requested

Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)
3 year Diploma Qualification
CIMA or other professional qualification (an added advantage)
Minimum of 2 years’ experience
