Senior Contract Administrator


Summary

The Senior Contract Administrator is part of a team focused on the management of construction and service contracts during the execution of EPCM projects and has a significant contribution towards the successful completion of projects. The Senior Contract Administrator will be responsible to manage Construction Packages > R400 million per package, all NEC based in Polokwane.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all post award contract administration for the duration of the contract.
  • Certified monthly payment certificates
  • Progress meetings
  • Handling and accessing claims and disputes.
  • Monthly reporting
  • Updating progress of all relevant procurement activities.
  • Close out of contract including Take Over and Performance certificates and final account.


Qualifications and Experience


Essential

  • Extensive experience in an EPCM project environment on capital projects, specifically in the administration of NEC contracts.
  • Contracts/legal related training
  • Solid understanding of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Must be able to manage contractors in a proactive and assertive manner.
  • Negotiation skills
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes and corporate governance principles
  • Ability to fit into a team environment and personal skills to compliment teamwork development.


Preferred

  • Relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience
  • NEC3 experience
  • Experience working on large construction sites.

This position is based full time on site
