Role: Senior Consultant

Location: Oxford or hybrid

Contract: Permanent,  full time or part time

Remuneration: £45-£50k (depending on experience)

3Keel are looking for a Senior Consultant who will take a leading role in the delivery of project and consultancy work, winning new work and will be the key contact with clients.

Essential skills required:

  • Sector knowledge: A strong technical and policy/regulatory understanding of corporate sustainability.
  • Technical skills: Technically-minded with experience of working with data, with proven experience presenting complex analyses and data thoughtfully and effectively.
  • Business development: Considerable BD and proposal-writing experience, with successful track record in winning new work with new and existing clients.
  • Project management: Experience of leading project teams, planning and delivering high quality outcomes within agreed budget and timescales.
  • Cross-disciplinary: Ability to engage with and work across a range of client-based teams with different levels of technical understanding, perspectives and needs.
  • Negotiation skills: Proven influencing and negotiating skills to ensure that projects deliver the outcomes expected by clients and other key stakeholders.
  • Presentation skills: The ability to confidently and clearly present complex information effectively to inform decision-making by non-technical senior managers within client organisations.
  • Relationships: Developing and nurturing strong relationships with clients and team members that allows adaptability to exploit new opportunities and to tackle unforeseen challenges.
  • Your approach: Self-starter and driven, with a passion for finding solutions to complex sustainability problems.
  • Working with uncertainty: Ability to lead projects and advise clients in a rapidly evolving service area where standards and outcomes are still emerging.
  • Clear communications: Clear and engaging writing style, and excellent verbal communication

Desirable skills:

  • Line management experience.
  • Experience of planning and running effective multi-stakeholder workshops and meetings.
  • Knowledge of FMCG supply chains, agriculture and other land-based production systems.
  • Academic background to degree or masters level in a relevant subject area.
  • Technical expertise in corporate metrics and standards on nature and biodiversity (e.g. SBTN, TNFD, natural capital).
  • Expertise in water resources management.
  • Data collection, cleaning and management skills. Experience of data analytics, visualisation and practical business intelligence
    software.
