JOB SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Director Primary Health Care, the incumbent is responsible for prevention, control, and stabilization of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), HIV & AIDS and TB mortality and morbidity in the country.

MAIN DUTIES

  • To develop, adopt and review STI, HIV& AIDS and TB guidelines and protocols.
  • To provide technical clinical support to the districts.
  • To conduct operational research to assess the impact of STI, HIV & AIDS and TB on households and communities as well as an influence on development.
  • To implement clinical services activities.
  • To train health workers on clinical services
  • To facilitate procurement and distribution of STIs, Ols and ARV drugs.
  • To coordinate clinical services activities
  • To monitor and evaluate clinical service activities at national level
  • To plan roll out of ART and TB services
  • To organize ART and TB quality service delivery
  • To facilitate promotion of ART and TB services and activities
  • To conduct supportive supervisory visit to the districts
  • To conduct research or/and assists in collection of data for research

JOB SPECIFICATION

Master’s degree in nursing sciences plus three (3) years relevant experience in managerial position

OR

Bachelor’s degree in nursing sciences plus five (5) years relevant experience in managerial position.

Knowledge and skills

  • Understanding of HIVIAIDS and TB care and treatment
  • Trainer or mentor in HIV and TB
