Applications are invited from suitably qualified local candidates for the following vacant position tenable at the Southern Division of the High Court in Mohale’s Hoek:
JOB TITLE: Senior Chauffeur
GRADE: F
NO. OF POSITIONS: Four (4)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Judge
Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for driving the Honourable Judges of the High Court for business and personal matters.
Main Duties
- Drives for the Honourable Judges of the High Court
- Checks vehicle daily before long journeys (e.g. engine oil, petrol, wheel studs, brakes, lights, speedometer, mirrors, water, and tires)
- Maintains logbook and route orders
- Cleans the vehicle of the Honourable Judges, including the engine
Job Specification
- Minimum education of C.O.S.C./LGCSE plus five (5) years’ experience as a driver
- OR at least G.C.E plus six (6) years’ working experience as a driver
- Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must have passed an assessment test conducted by the Office of the Traffic Commissioner – Traffic Department
- Should be able to work during awkward hours
