Applications are invited from suitably qualified local candidates for the following vacant positions within the Judiciary.
Position: Senior Chauffeur
Grade: F
Number of Positions: 2
Reports To: Judge
Job Summary
The incumbent is responsible for driving the Honourable Judges of the High Court at all times.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive the Honourable Judges of the High Court.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before long journeys, including checking:
- Engine oil
- Fuel levels
- Wheel studs
- Brakes
- Lights
- Speedometer
- Mirrors
- Water levels
- Tyres
- Maintain vehicle logbooks and route orders.
- Clean and maintain the Judges’ vehicle, including the engine.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet either of the following requirements:
Option 1
- COSC/LGCSE qualification.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a driver.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Clean driving record.
- Successful completion of an assessment test conducted by the Traffic Commissioner’s Office – Traffic Department.
- Ability to work during irregular and extended hours.
OR
Option 2
- GCE qualification.
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience as a driver.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Successful completion of an assessment test conducted by the Traffic Commissioner’s Office – Traffic Department.
- Ability to work during irregular and extended hours.
