Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director Teaching Service Department, the incumbent is responsible for providing safe, secure and professional chauffeuring services to the Chairperson-Teaching Service Commission. The chauffeur is entrusted with a personal transportation of the Chairperson, maintains the highest level of confidentiality, loyalty, integrity, honesty and provides executive support functions comparable to those of a Personal Assistant (PA). The chauffeur shall report to the Administration Supervisor while taking day-to-day direction from the office of the Chairperson.
Main Duties
- Chauffeurs for the Teaching Service Commission Chairperson.
- Checks vehicle daily before long journeys i.e. engine oil, petrol, wheel studs, brakes, lights, speedometer, mirrors, water and tires.
- Maintains log book and route orders.
- Cleans the vehicle of the TSC Chairperson inclusive of the engine.
- Apply advance defensive driving techniques at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all road traffic laws and organizational transport.
- Be available to drive during working hours, afterwards, weekends and public holidays as required by the Chairperson.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all official and personal information acquired in the course of duty.
- Ensure punctuality for all official engagements.
- Handles documents, correspondence and other materials instructed to deliver with confidentiality.
Job Specification
- A serving government driver with minimum of 15 years of experience.
- Defensive driving, road traffic rules etc.
- Work under pressure.
