Avalanche Consulting is bidding for a groundbreaking opportunity in one of the largest water projects currently underway in Lesotho. This opportunity is still at the bidding stage.
Avalanche Consulting invites CVs from Basotho for the following position:
Senior Engineering Geologist / Geotechnical Engineer (Design Stage)
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering Geology or equivalent.
- Professional registration with SACNASP or an approved equivalent body.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in:
- Site investigation, design, and construction of major civil works.
- Projects involving bridges and associated roadways.
- Proven experience in:
- Geological investigation, classification, and excavation in basalt rock.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the geological specialist within the design team.
- Review and synthesize all available geological and geotechnical data.
- Specify and oversee the geotechnical investigation process.
- Prepare the Geotechnical Investigation Interpretive Report.
- Provide support for geotechnical design activities.
- Offer technical support to the site team during construction.
