Senior Banqueting Supervisor

The CSIR has a vacancy for Sales and Events Manager in the CSIR International Convention Centre (ICC). The incumbent will be responsible for the effective operational planning of events and daily coordination within the banqueting department according to customer requirements and set standards. This position is based in Pretoria and includes weekend and evening work as required.


Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and liaising with customers during their events
  • Coordinate and manage Supervisors and their staff according to daily operational requirements, whilst maintaining a harmonious and motivated team;
  • Maintain and control all Banqueting admin requirements;
  • Monitor and update (with F&B manager) and implement Banqueting standards;
  • Monitor stock control of all Banqueting equipment;
  • In conjunction with Supervisors and Housekeeper, ensure front and back of house areas are maintained according to set requirements and standards;

Qualifications, skills and experience:

  • A national diploma in hospitality management with at least five years’ experience in the same/similar operation and position
