JOB  SUMMARY:

Under  the  general  supervision  of  the  Chief  Airport  Security  Officer,  the Incumbent  is  responsible  for  the  security  of  Moshoeshoe  1  International  Airport (MIA.  The  incumbent  is  also  responsible  for  the  supervision  of  Airport  Security Officer.  The  Senior  Airport  Security  Officer  ensures  the  integrity  of  the  airport and  related  property,  organizing  aviation  security  training  programmes.

MAIN  DUTIES:

1.  Access  control

1.1Issues  Moshoeshoe  1  Airport  temporary  cards  to  authorize  people  and vehicles  to  access  on  restricted  area.

1.2Restricts   and   prohibits   unauthorized  movements   in   the   airport buildings  and  grounds  to  both  the  passengers  and  other  airport  users.

2.  Provision  of  Security

2.1Ensures  safety  of  aircrafts,  facilities,  premises,  and  airport  users  in  the  Moshoeshoe  1  Airport  surroundings.

2.2  Ensures  safety  of  passengers  in  the  airport  buildings  and  around  the airport  grounds.

2.3 Always  assists  passengers  and  all  airport  users  with  security  measures and  in  desperate  times  of  need.

3.  Supervision

3.1 Supervises  the  Airport  Security  Officers.

3.2 Supervises  the  passengers  and  luggage  screening  processes.

JOB  SPECIFICATION:

Certificate  in  Public  Relations/Business  Management/Business  Administration or  Marketing  plus  at  least  two (2)  years’  experience  in  the  field  of  Airport Security.
