The Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) is an independent and autonomous body and is the Supreme Audit Institution in Lesotho. OAG is responsible for auditing government revenue and spending and to oversee the management of public funds and the quality and credibility of government’s reported financial data.

OAG invites applications from suitably qualified local candidates for the following positions:

CORE DESCRIPTION

Participates in the formulation and implementation of administrative policies to promote efficiency within the OAG. The incumbent assists the Administration Manager with handling of travel, office environment, contracts administration, inventory management, security and safety of assets and persons within the OAG.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Assists the Administration Manager in the development of the annual sectional plan and budget and implementation.

•     Helps with management of OAG’s fleet including parking management in office precincts.

•     Assists in implementation of assets maintenance plan and allocation of assets.

•     Drafts messages to staff on administrative policy and procedural changes and update existing protocols.

•     Attends and participates in inter-department coordination engagements as assigned by the Administration Manager.

•     Participates in drafting of the monthly, quarterly and annual reports of the department.

•     Executes   special   projects   as   assigned   (department-specific   and Organization-wide projects)

•     Assists in arrangements for annual events, conferences, seminars and other functions of the OAG as delegated by the Administration Manager.

•     Arranges entry visas, accommodation, and transport for the office and official visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Master’s degree in Public Administration/Business Administration from a
     recognised institution

•    Should have a minimum of Four (4) years’ experience as Administration
     Officer in a reputable organization.

OR

•    Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/ Business Administration from a recognised institution.

EXPERIENCE

•    Should have a minimum of Six (6) years’ experience as Administration
     Officer in a reputable organization.
