Mohloling Media Literacy Platform is a collaborative media literacy platform that presents contextualised and simplified complex stories related to policies and current affairs that impact the livelihoods of Basotho through three distinct branches: Dialogues, Digital series and Archives repository. This digital platform draws on the expertise and reach of young and experienced practitioners of media and education


Selemela Learning Network is the name of the collaboration between Selemela and Glasswaters Foundation. The learning network aims to bridge the gap between education practice and theory in Lesotho by connecting stakeholders in education through resilient community-based learning networks, which promote the efficient flow of information and resources within the education sector and provide opportunities for meaningful participation by the wider community. These learning networks are composed of clusters of schools, learning centres, civil society organizations, and a community of local and international contributors.

Mohloling Digital Series
Is a collaborative web-based digital series that relies on extensive research to present complex stories related to policy and current affairs that impact Basotho in a humorous and satirical fashion. The digital series is seeking to recruit 7 interns who will  engage in producing 5 episodes related to the “inclusive Education Policy of Lesotho’ and publishing them online through the course of a 21 week internship. The internship is designed for young creatives who are scholars and users of the internet who want to grow knowledge on policy, engage in civic participation and grow their practical experience in film production. 

There are 7 spots to fill: 

  1. Lighting technician, 
  2. Sound technician, 
  3. Cameraman, 
  4. Post-production technician, 
  5. video editor, 
  6. Script writer and 
  7. Presenter

The applicants should:

  • Be a young adult between the ages of 19-25 years;
  • Be in their final year of study or recently graduated (no more than 2 years)
  • Be a knowledge enthusiast with a healthy propensity for seeking out information;
  • Be a hands-on individual who is passionate about production and storytelling;
  • Be fluent in Sesotho and English
  • Be willing to dedicate time to engage in research to gather more information on topics, collect relevant materials, provide written reports and attend meetings as necessary. (Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meetings will take place virtually until otherwise ;
  • Possess excellent leadership and communication skills; including computer literacy and a willingness to adapt to new technology. 
  • Be willing to undergo orientation and training  prior to commencing  work;
  • Demonstrate drive, innovativeness, and have the ability to work under minimum supervision, while meeting deadlines;
  • Demonstrates personal integrity and botho by modeling respect, values and ethical standards;
  • Display cultural, gender, religious, racial, nationality and age sensitivity, non-discrimination  and adaptability.
  • Be prepared to uphold the Selemela Code of Conduct as stated in their contract; 

Mohloling Dialogue Program

Mohloling Dialogues is a platform for young changemakers to earn the opportunity to learn facilitation skills that will assist them in hosting meaningful dialogues around complex social issues. The Dialogue program is looking for 6 Tertiary Institution students with a passion for engaging in meaningful dialogues on issues that drive social change, in an effort to gain understanding or develop solutions. The opportunity will entail the facilitation of 6 dialogues on the ‘Inclusive Education Policy’ over an 18 week period, the schedule includes training, dialogue prototyping, stakeholder engagements, research and the facilitation of 6 dialogues open to the public. 

The Dialogue Facilitator should:

  • Be a young adult between the ages of 20 to 35 years;
  • Be interested in working with relevant Ministry representatives, local Organisation, common citizens, and industry professionals across various fields;
  • Be willing to dedicate at least 6 hours weekly to plan, do preparatory research on topics, guide dialogues, attend meetings and provide a written report on a weekly basis. (Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all meetings will take place virtually until further notice);
  • Undergo virtual training prior to commencing the Dialogue Facilitation work;
  • Demonstrable organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in drafting reports, therefore must be computer literate and a quick adaptable learner;
  • Research and evaluation skills including ability to synthesize information;
  • Provide reports and analysis of Dialogues to document and enhance capacity building;
  • Organize and facilitate weekly dialogues, prepare workshop materials, and meetings with the Dialogue Coordinator;
  • Uphold the facilitator Code of Conduct as stated in the Facilitator Handbook;
  • Possess excellent oral and effective presentation skills; 
  • Have the ability to work under minimum supervision, while meeting deadlines;
  • Demonstrate the ability to complete assignments in a timely fashion; Excellent social and communication skills;
  • Strong facilitation skills;
  • Demonstrate personal integrity by modeling respect, values and ethical standards;
  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity, non-discrimination  and adaptability.
