The Global Business Roundtable (GBR) was established on 21st August 2009. It started as a discussion forum as well as a support, networking and prayer group for people in business and various intellectual professions.

The GBR is a global business networking initiative which was prompted by a desire to start a prayer meeting group for people in business as well as to provide support for professionals in their various fields. The organisation is founded on Biblical principles and is inspired by God throughout the various initiatives it undertakes.

This global business networking initiative has experienced the great move of God and has seen an unprecedented exponential growth. The GBR now has thousands of members spread across several countries including The United States of America (USA), Spain, Thailand, Germany, Ghana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Sweden, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mozambique, Nigeria, The Caribbean Islands, which make up 73 nations in total.

SECTOR MANAGER – SPORTS, ARTS & CULTURE

In this era when humankind is facing many challenges that seek to disrupt communities, cultures and families threatening the very foundations of society, leading to anxiety, anger, fear, despair, and uncertainty, the Global Business Roundtable (GBR) seeks a leader with the requisite skills set, experience and qualifications to develop new programs and coordinate existing programs that seek to strengthen elements of society leading to stronger morals, ethics, and values. GBR already seeks to reinstate and strengthen mutual respect, tolerance, good-neighbourliness, family unity, solidarity of communities, and good citizenship through Congresses, Concerts, Youth Camps, Communication & Media Platforms, Retreats, Sports & Cultural events, and Panel Discussions. As part of a concerted and deliberate effort to fast-track its outreach to more countries of the globe, GBR seeks a dynamic team-player who will work with Strategic Partners to develop programs that will promote activities that stimulate teamwork, competitiveness, physical activity, appreciation of nature, the arts, sporting events, cultural activities, thus focusing on the outdoors where there will be greater appreciation for the magnitude & magnificence of Creation.

Key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
To plan, coordinate and deliver activities that address the need for physical exercise, teamwork, competition, and recreation.
To develop funding proposals, design, coordinate and consolidate programs that will attract funding and sponsorship for artistic, sporting & cultural events that promote talent, particularly in the youth.
To develop and implement an annual activity calendar in line with budget and outreach to targeted groups in the urban, peri-urban, and rural communities in a global setting.
Conduct an annual needs assessment to identify interest areas and opportunities for promoting and growing talent in future generations.
To manage resources to deliver the operating sporting, arts, and cultural plan timeously.
The Sector Manager: Sports, Arts & Culture must meet the following criteria:
A sincere commitment to the development of youth and young adults through integrated programs with a strong Christian bias and thematic thread.
Formal training or equivalent experience in either sports and sports management, physical education, the performing arts, promotion of culture, or youth development.
Flexibility to work with the diversity of cultures, languages, and geographical areas.
Passion for inspiring children, youth, and adults to appreciate the diversity of cultures through expression in competitive environments, teamwork, exploration, promotion of participatory engagement.
Strong organizational and leadership skills including delegation and group facilitation.
Strong writing, public communication, and computer skills.
Minimum of a undergraduate degree in sports and sports management, physical education, the performing arts, promotion of culture, youth development or similar qualification.
5-10 years developmental generalist experience
Experience in managing cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
Experience in organisational development and change
Stakeholder liaison
Provide consultation, support, coaching and counselling.
Work collaboratively with teams and subject matter experts.
Material and content development
