SEBABATSO 2025 – APPLICATION TO ATTEND CHINA SEMINARS
The SEBABATSO initiative – The Lesotho Youth Connekt Chapter, in partnership with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, invites Basotho youth entrepreneurs to apply for an entrepreneurship exchange programme in China.
Youth between the ages of 15 to 35 who are operating businesses in Lesotho should access online applications on these platforms: SEBABATSO, Department of Youth Lesotho, and Ministry of Social Development Facebook pages.
The youth who qualify should be in business for at least 2 years, and the business should be in one of the following sectors:
1. Seminar on Operational Management in Light Industry Industrial Parks for Developing Countries
Dates: 14-28 May 2024
Examples of businesses that can apply include:
- Shops that specialize in printing works
- Film or photography shops
- Laundromats
- Vehicle maintenance workshops or garages
- Building maintenance
- Metal works, etc.
2. Seminar on African FTA Investment Promotion and Environment Security
Dates: 10-23 June 2025
3. Training Course on Vegetable Cultivation and Processing Techniques for Developing Countries
Dates: 10-30 June 2025
4. Seminar on Footwear Industry Development and Management for Developing Countries
Dates: 24 June – 7 July 2025
5. Seminar on Green and Low-carbon Food Industry and Equipment Innovation under the Global Development Initiative
Dates: 24 June – 14 July 2025
Selected youth entrepreneurs will travel to China to understudy Chinese Corporates under the sectors above. Youth entrepreneurs should have passports valid for the next 6 months.
Deadline for submission of applications:
- 30 April 2025 for Seminar on Operational Management in Light Industry Industrial Parks for Developing Countries
- 9 May 2025 for other seminars
