CANSA seeks to appoint a Seal of Recognition Programme Co-ordinator to be based in ohannesburg.

Salary: Negotiable within CANSA’s grading scales

Purpose of the job is to co-ordinate the CANSA Seal of Recognition programme and provide scientific expertise and assistance to the Cause-related Marketing (CRM) programme.

Responsibilities and Duties:
To ensure the efficient coordination of the CANSA Seal programme and implementation of all its processes (e.g. liaise with all relevant staff and departments, maintain Seal documents, maintain internal processes)
Application Management – to coordinate, review and track applications for the Seal programme efficiently and timeously
To build and maintain relationships with current and prospective Seal partners
To provide scientific expertise in: ­ reviewing applications ­ media queries ­ fact sheets ­ Seal criteria/requirements
To identify appropriate partnerships for the Seal programme
To work with CANSA Marketing and Communications Team, Sustainability Team, Services Team and Advocacy Team to seek opportunities to promote and build the Seal programme
To support the Head of Research with Seal related Type B research and ad hoc research tasks
Key Performance Areas:
To ensure the efficient coordination of the CANSA Seal programme
To provide scientific expertise (queries, content, research projects, risk management, application management, criteria/requirements)
To build and grow the Seal programme by identifying appropriate partnerships and recruiting their relevant products to be awarded the CANSA Seal of Recognition and through proactively engaging internal and external partners/ stakeholders in collaborative marketing and health promotion activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree (preferably in Biochemistry / Toxicology related)
Competencies:
Good knowledge of and experience with South African regulations in consumer products
Knowledge of and experience related to laboratory testing of consumer products and interpretation of results
Administrative and financial management skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
Strong marketing and communications skills
Team player, proactive in finding collaborative opportunities and good follow up
Other Requirements:
Language: English and any other official language
Drivers License: Yes
Own Transport: Yes
Travel Occasional: Local
Non-smoker
